NFL power rankings after Week 3: Where the Indianapolis Colts rank against undefeated teams: 'Do you believe?'

The Indianapolis Colts are one of six undefeated NFL teams through three weeks, along with the Buffalo Bills and Los Angels Chargers in the AFC, and the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC.

The Colts, guided by quarterback Daniel Jones (71.6% completions, 816 passing yards, 0 turnovers) and running back Jonathan Taylor (league-leading 338 rushing yards), own the NFL’s No. 2 offense and No. 7 defense. Their opponents are a cumulative 1-8.

NFL power rankings after Week 3: How the Indianapolis Colts stack up against undefeated teams

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: 9th, last among 3-0 teams

“Do you believe in them yet? Daniel Jones and that offense are rolling up points. They are the class in their division.”

Mike Florio, Pro Football Talk: 9th, 5th among 3-0 teams, ahead of the 49ers

“The ‘are they for real?’ questions will linger until they beat a top team. They’ll get their chance this weekend against the Rams.”

Frank Schwab, Yahoo: 11th, last among the 3-0 teams

“Jonathan Taylor is a very early favorite for NFL Offensive Player of the Year. No skill position player has been better. Daniel Jones gets the attention for the Colts’ hot start, but it’s Taylor with 338 rushing yards and three touchdowns through three games, as well as seven catches for 93 yards and another score.”

Conor Orr, Sports Illustrated: 10th, last among the 3-0 teams

“Colts-Rams becomes a massive game for Indianapolis, though Indianapolis has already bought itself the all-too-critical luxury of breathing room. The Houston Texans are a full three games back. The Jaguars, while 2–1, have looked decidedly low octane on offense. If Indy can leave this game against a better team with its vibes intact, that’s all that matters.”

Bleacher Report: 12th, last among 3-0 teams

“Are these Colts on the level of the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens? Let’s not lose our heads — their opponents this season have combined for all of one win. But a few weeks ago, most would have written in the Rams as easy winners when Indy travels to Los Angeles in Week 4.”

Diante Lee, The Ringer: 11th, 5th among 3-0 teams, ahead of the 49ers

“While I’m still inclined to hand-wave this success away and wait for quarterback Daniel Jones to go back into his shell, Indy has a major test up next on their schedule: a game against the Rams. If they can keep pace with a bona fide contender, I’ll have no choice but to change my tune.”

Walter Football: 11th, 4th among 3-0 teams, ahead of the Bucs and 49ers

“The Colts had a dominant win over the Dolphins in Week 1, which is looking better now that Miami nearly beat the Patriots and Bills in succeeding weeks. They then defeated the Broncos, who showed a strong effort against the Chargers. And then they crushed the Titans in what could have been a flat spot for them.”

Nate Davis, USA TODAY: 11th, ahead of the 49ers

“After three weeks, they have the largest point differential in the league (+47) and a three-game lead over reigning AFC South champion Houston. It’s the NFL, what else did you expect?”
