The Redwings stopped a Fowlerville 2-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter to pick up the win in their CAAC Red opener. Nolan Koenigsknecht’s extra point after Cody Carn’s 58-yard touchdown run in the third quarter wound up being the difference for St. Johns (3-0, 1-0). Carn finished with 112 yards on the ground and Landon McCastle had a pair of touchdown runs for the Redwings. Sam Shrader threw for 205 yards and four TDs for Fowlerville (2-1, 0-1).

EVERETT 20, OKEMOS 13
OKEMOS — The Vikings overcame a 13-0 deficit to open CAAC Blue play with a victory over Okemos. Ferris State commit Javari Funches ran for 232 yards and two touchdowns and Ryan Bryant added a rushing score for Everett (3-0, 1-0). Blake Burke threw for 161 yards and a touchdown for Okemos, while Marshun Hallums ran for a score and Xavier Ford had a receiving TD.
SEXTON 40, LANSING CATHOLIC 24
Zion Mathis threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns and Willie Brown had seven catches for 168 yards and a touchdown for the J-Dubbs in their CAAC White win over Lansing Catholic (0-3, 0-2). Josiah Stewart added five catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns and also recorded six tackles and had an interception for Sexton (1-2, 1-1).
CHARLOTTE 17, LAKEWOOD 13
LAKE ODESSA — Carter Carey punched in a rushing touchdown for the Orioles as they outlasted Lakewood for the CAAC White road victory. Evan Colosky connected with Braylon Holmes for a touchdown for Charlotte (2-1, 2-0). Carter Stewart ran for a team-best 70 yards and racked up 10 tackles, Bryer Poll tallied rushing touchdown and a receiving score from Max Thrun for the Vikings (1-2, 0-1).
OWOSSO 38, LAKE FENTON 35
OWOSSO — Braden Reed made the go-ahead field goal and Evan Krawczyk sealed the game with an interception as the Trojans outlasted Lake Fenton (1-2, 0-1) for the Flint Metro League victory. Liam Patrick went 9-for-14 passing with 176 yards and two scores to go with 69 yards rushing and a touchdown, Reed grabbed five receptions for 129 yards and a score for Owosso (3-0, 1-0).
GRAND LEDGE 45, EAST LANSING 27
GRAND LEDGE — Nick Terranova had 158 yards passing and three touchdowns and Brady Williams had a 31-yard receiving touchdown and had two interceptions with one returned 56 yards for a score while helping the Comets open CAAC Blue play with a victory over East Lansing. Anthony Baker had two rushing touchdowns and a receiving score for Grand Ledge (3-0, 1-0). BJ Ardister threw for 121 yards and a touchdown and had a rushing score and Baylor Schanski ran for 164 yards and a TD for East Lansing (0-3, 0-1).
DEWITT 55, WAVERLY 0
DEWITT — Traverse Moore threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns and added a 26-yard touchdown reception for the Panthers in their CAAC Blue win. Jadon Bender had 75 yards receiving and a TD and Channing Ridley had two receiving touchdowns and ran for 85 yards and a score for DeWitt (3-0, 1-0). Caedin Martin-Seymour added two rushing TDs for the Panthers.
PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA 55, BATH 0
BATH — Ty Thelen led the Pirates going 11-for-20 with 180 yards passing and five touchdowns as Pewamo-Westphalia secured the CMAC road victory over Bath. Trent Piggott hauled in four receptions for 51 yards and three touchdowns, Alex Nurenberg ran for a team-best 71 yards and a score and Brandon Anthony and Caleb Blythe each pulled down a receiving touchdown for Pewamo-Westphalia (3-0, 2-0). Jacob Koenigsknecht threw for a team-high 67 yards for the Bees (1-2, 1-1).
LESLIE 42, HOMER 0
Jackson Fossitt completed 7-of-12 passes for 109 yards and three touchdowns while helping the Blackhawks to a victory. Braydin Johnson had six catches for 108 yards and a touchdown and added two interceptions with one being returned for a TD for Leslie (3-0). Evan Dexter ran for 83 yards and a TD and added 10 tackles, while Joey Adams and Braden Romero hd receiving scores for the Blackhawks.
ITHACA 42, SAGINAW MICHIGAN LUTHERAN SEMINARY 40 (OT)
Greyson Merchant threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 48 yards and three scores while helping the Yellowjackets edge Saginaw MLS. Merchant ran for the winning 2-point conversion in overtime. Devyn Fisher had 113 yards receiving and a touchdown and Jacob Crawford had an interception return for a TD for Ithaca (3-0).
HASLETT 49, EASTERN 8
HASLETT — Charlie Dutcher went 10-for-12 through the air for 181 yards and a touchdown for the Vikings in a CAAC Red victory over Eastern (1-2, 0-1). Cash Shepard led all rushers with 96 yards and a touchdown, Kory Amachree ran for 40 yards, hauled in 42 receiving yards and three total touchdowns and Derris Dennis punched in two rushing scores for Haslett (2-1, 1-0).
FOWLER 34, SARANAC 8
Trevor Spicer ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns and added eight tackles while leading the Eagles (2-1, 2-0) in their CMAC victory. Levi Travis added 47 rushing yards and 44 receiving yards for Fowler.
OVID-ELSIE 38, OTISVILLE LAKEVILLE MEMORIAL 12
ELSIE — Brock Spitzley picked up a team-high 124 yards and a touchdown as the Marauders notched the MMAC home win over Otisville LakeVille Memorial (2-1, 1-1). Brody Howard ran back a 79-yard kick return for a score, Joie Fabus grabbed a 59-yard interception return for a touchdown and Owen Long finished with two total touchdowns for Ovid-Elsie (2-1, 2-0).
HOLT 53, FLINT CARMAN-AINSWORTH 18
FLINT — LaDon Hatcher finished with a game-high 144 yards rushing on 16 carries and five touchdowns to help guide the Rams (2-1) to a nonleague road victory over Flint Carman-Ainsworth (0-3).
PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 62, BYRON 22
BYRON — Hudson King ran for a game-high 129 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns as the Shamrocks notched a road win over Byron (0-3). Brady Leonard ran for 102 yards and a touchdown, quarterback Jerryd Scheurer threw for 65 yards and ran for 24 yards to go with three total touchdowns and Emmet Fandel added a 40-yard rushing score for Portland St. Patrick (3-0).
FULTON 62, WEBBERVILLE 0
MIDDLETON — Quarterback Zach Litwiller went 4-for-4 and threw for 115 yards and three touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown to lead the Pirates to a home victory over Webberville (0-3). Bryson Sattler ran for a team-high 97 yards on two carries with two touchdowns and Parker Billings, Kaiden Oliver and Coltin Kus each pulled down a receiving score for Fulton (3-0).
QUINCY 40, STOCKBRIDGE 29
Noah Sandecki threw for 154 yards and a touchdown and ran for 96 yards and a score to lead the Panthers in their loss. Jayson Conant added 118 yards receiving, which included a 90-yard touchdown reception for Stockbridge (0-3).
READING 28, MAPLE VALLEY 7
VERMONTVILLE — Eli Wright threw for 45 yards, ran for 44 yards and connected with Jackson Burpee for a 23-yard touchdown for the Lions in a Big 8 defeat to Reading (1-2, 1-1). Dayton Hillard added on 34 yards rushing for Maple Valley (0-3, 0-2).
CLIO 46, CORUNNA 22
Ota Wilkerson rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown and Ruger Zeeman ran for 100 yards for the Cavaliers in their Flint Metro League loss.
FRANKENMUTH 70, ALMA 21
ALMA — Penn Seeley led the Panthers with a team-best 150 yards rushing, 66 yards passing and two total touchdowns as Alma fell to Frankenmuth (2-1, 2-0). in a TVC Red defeat. R.J. Bielega pulled down six receptions for 54 yards and Cameron Ryckman led the defense with six tackles for Alma (0-3, 0-1).
