Sean McVay is (somehow) in his ninth season as the Los Angeles Rams’ head coach and even this deep into his tenure, he hasn’t lost an ounce of energy. He was fired up after the Rams’ season-opening win over the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon, letting loose in the locker room with a fiery speech to his players and fellow coaches.
And we have to give the Rams credit for their effort in trying to censor McVay’s victory speech because it was full of expletives. It must’ve taken a while to edit the video but it’s always great to see the passion McVay has for football.
“I’ll tell you what, I learned so much about this (expletive) team where we did a lot of things that we can (expletive) learn from it. But you (expletive) found a (expletive) way, accomplished the (expletive) mission.”
It was the first of hopefully many victory speeches in the locker room, and it was one heck of a way to get things started. McVay handed out three game balls, as well, recognizing Nate Landman, Puka Nacua and Matthew Stafford – and deservingly so.
The Rams will try to nab another win next week on the road against a Titans team that took the Broncos down to the wire in a 20-12 loss, which was Cam Ward’s NFL debut.
