The cause and manner of death are still under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

The crash remains under investigation by the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police.

According to the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, the department responded to a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning at the intersection of SR 66 and Epworth Road. Sheriff Mike Wilder said both vehicles only had one occupant, and both were killed.

“Vehicle one was traveling the wrong direction and caused the accident,” Wilder said. “Vehicle one was westbound in the eastbound lane of (Indiana) 66 when it collided with vehicle two which was eastbound in the eastbound lane of (Indiana) 66.”
