With Week 1 now right around the corner, that means fantasy football is right on its tail for fans as well. With fantasy football, you get to engage in mental gymnastics when it comes to making decisions about players. The biggest one, of course, is always who you will start and who you will sit.
For the Bucs, questions surround their offense, despite its impressive credentials on paper. One of those players up for debate is running back Rachaad White
The Buccaneers’ running back is the former starter for the team, who lost that role midway through the season to current starter Bucky Irving. The reason we say to avoid White is that Irving, the latter, dominated divisional opponents in 2024 and had his best games against them. White is likely to be limited to pass blocking reps or receiving work, and while those help, it is Irving who will be the bellcow.
White will have his moments to shine, but it just won’t be in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons.
White remains a good handcuff for Irving, though. Do not let that be forgotten in all this, that you can still handcuff White with Irving and be set to have a productive 2025 season in totality.
