The Detroit Lions finally have a full 53-man active roster. It took three days after the cutdown deadline, but the Lions have filled out the roster by acquiring former Raiders safety Thomas Harper.
The Lions were awarded Harper as a waiver wire claim from the Raiders. Las Vegas waived Harper to process their own waiver claim on former Eagles safety Tristin McCollum a day earlier.
Harper, 25, started five games for the Raiders as a rookie in 2024. He was claimed off waivers by the Raiders from the Chargers at roster cutdowns in 2024. He picked off one pass and registered 26 tackles and a half-sack in 15 games.
The 5-10, 189-pound Harper played collegiately at Notre Dame and Oklahoma State.
