The Houston Texans have been close to making a run toward the Super Bowl, but also not really. Since its inception in 2002, Houston has advanced to the divisional round five times, including twice under Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud.
It’s winless on the second weekend on the AFC postseason.
With Stroud back as the starting quarterback, Nico Collins fully healthy and a solid defense that could be one of the best in the NFL, the Texans look like one of the top contending teams on paper in 2025. That doesn’t mean they’re the favorites to win it all, but there aren’t many teams with better outlooks than Houston.
With the start of the regular season rapidly approaching, it’s a good time to look at where each team stands in terms of its Super Bowl odds. There’s a clear top four with the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, but several other teams have the makings of championship squads.
Here’s a look at the Super Bowl LX odds (via DraftKings Sportsbook) for each team in the NFL, including the Texans:
Super Bowl LX odds
Buffalo Bills: +600
Baltimore Ravens: +600
Philadelphia Eagles: +700
Kansas City Chiefs: +850
Detroit Lions: +1100
Washington Commanders: +2000
San Francisco 49ers: +2000
Green Bay Packers: +2000
Los Angeles Rams: +2200
Cincinnati Bengals: +2200
Minnesota Vikings: +2500
Denver Broncos: +2500
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +2800
Los Angeles Chargers: +2800
Pittsburgh Steelers: +3500
Houston Texans: +3500
Chicago Bears: +4500
Dallas Cowboys: +5000
Arizona Cardinals: +5500
New England Patriots: +6000
Seattle Seahawks: +6500
Atlanta Falcons: +7000
Jacksonville Jaguars: +8000
Miami Dolphins: +9000
Las Vegas Raiders: +12000
Indianapolis Colts: +12000
New York Giants: +15000
Carolina Panthers: +15000
Tennessee Titans: +20000
New York Jets: +25000
Cleveland Browns: +30000
New Orleans Saints: +40000
The Rams are tied for the 15th-best odds in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers at +3500. That’s a reasonable position for them to be in, especially given the questions surrounding a new offensive line and cast of targets in the passing game.
At +3500, a $100 bet would win $3,500. That’s a decent payout for a team that’s won back-to-back AFC South titles and set itself up for success for a third year in change of the personnel.
If the Texans can manage to stay healthy, they’ll be a team no one wants to play in the postseason – just as they were in 2024 when they nearly upset the Chiefs in the divisional round.
