A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a weekend crash in Ontario County.
A motorcycle and car crashed on Flat Street in Seneca around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, according to the Ontario County Sherif’s Office. Deputies said that the motorcyclist was southbound on Flat Street and crashed into a car that was making a K-turn in the roadway.
The motorcyclist, who was not identified by police, was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, deputies said. The driver of the car was not injured in the crash.
The drivers of both vehicles were minors who both had valid driver’s licenses, although the motorcyclist did not possess a license specific to driving a motorcycle, according to the sheriff’s office.
A stretch of the road was closed for more than three hours overnight as deputies tended to the scene.
Deputies continue to investigate the crash.
