Detroit Food Academy (DFA) is presenting another specially curated chef dinner that helps benefit the nonprofit.
Tickets are still available for the academy’s Supper Club event at Hiroki-San Detroit.
The restaurant at Detroit’s Book Tower hosts SheWolf Pastificio & Bar dinner, coming up at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3.The event’s menu is curated by Hiroki-San chef Christian Vasquez and SheWolf’s Anthony Lombardo. Featuring six courses, the menu is a fusion of Italian and Japanese fare.
Guests will dine on Japanese milk bread served garlic-bread style, shrimp aji crudo, meatball bao bun, rigatoni Tantanmen, sakaura pork collar and grilled yuzu pound cake. Tickets for the DFA Supper Club event are $200 per person and available through resy.com.All proceeds for the event benefit the nonprofit that fosters a place where Detroit’s youth learn Detroit’s food system through culinary arts and food entrepreneurship.
Hiroki-San, a Japanese-style dining concept pairing traditional and contemporary techniques, is at 1265 Washington Blvd. in Detroit on the Book Tower’s lower level. Executive chef and owner, Anthony Lombardo opened SheWolf Pastificio & Bar in 2019 at 438 Selden St., in Midtown. The restaurant is known for its contemporary Italian cuisine and pastas made from hand-milled flour.
