NEW HOPE − An 82-year-old Portage County town of Lanark man is dead following a UTV crash the morning of July 21.
At 8:44 a.m. July 21, a caller reported a UTV and dump truck crash near the intersection of Portage County ZZ and Rainbows End Road in the town of New Hope, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office. The 82-year-old man who was operating the UTV died as a result of injuries from the crash.
No one else was injured in the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Portage County Ambulance and Amherst Fire Department responded to the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
