Before the British Open gets underway, the Scottish Open is in line for an exciting finish. Rory McIlroy and 36-hole leader Chris Gotterup enter the final round atop the leaderboard at 11 under par.
Gotterup shot even par in the third round to follow up his 61 in the second round, while McIlroy went 4 under on moving day to vault him into position for his second Scottish Open title in three years. Wyndham Clark also shot 4 under on Saturday, raising him up the leaderboard to a four-way tie for third at 9 under.
The others two strokes off the lead are Jake Knapp, Matt Fitzpatrick and Marco Penge, who has won three titles on the DP World Tour. Ludvig Åberg, Harris English and Andrew Novak are part of a group four strokes back. The start times for the final round were adjusted to account for fog expected in the evening.
