Jared Goff isn’t the first quarterback that fantasy football managers think of when putting together their mock drafts, but he that doesn’t make him a bad option in 2025.
If you’re the type of fantasy football manager that doesn’t bite on the early quarterback run on the Lamar Jacksons and Josh Allens of the world, then you’re probably picking your QB1 somewhere around rounds 6-8 depending on your league format. In a standard, PPR league, you may or may not even choose a backup quarterback.
Regardless of the particular format, Goff is likely to fall below the top 10 quarterbacks in this season’s fantasy football drafts.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Jared Goff
ESPN: QB17
NFL Fantasy: QB13
Sleeper: QB10
Yahoo Sports Fantasy: QB12
Goff threw for 4,629 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 2024. While that was good to land him as the sixth-best quarterback in fantasy last season, his lack of upside using his legs pushes him below some of the NFL’s more exciting players at the position.
He’ll be a solid QB2 option for any fantasy manager as the Lions are bringing back all of last season’s offensive weapons, but he’ll only need to be relied on as a streaming option or injury replacement.
