Mid-Hudson Valley's Independence Day weekend will be sunny and storm-free. See forecast

The National Weather Service says the weekend will be sunny and storm-free across the mid-Hudson Valley.

And Independence Day on Friday could have the best weather of the three-day weekend, especially for those who don’t like their summer weather to get too hot.

The National Weather Service says Friday will be sunny in all four counties, with highs in the low 80s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the upper 70s in Sullivan County.

Friday night will be mostly clear, with lows in the mid-50s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the low 50s in Sullivan County.

Saturday will be slightly warmer, with sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties and the low 80s in Sullivan County.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with lows in the mid-60s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and right around 60 in Sullivan County.

Sunday will bring the warmest temperatures to wrap up the three-day weekend. Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 90s in Dutchess and Ulster counties, the high 80s in Orange County and the mid-80s in Sullivan County.

Sunday night will be mostly clear, with lows in the upper 60s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the mid-60s in Sullivan County.
