The FSU Seminoles have landed a commitment from former Arkansas Razorback infielder Gabe Fraser. He announced his commitment Wednesday night on social media.
Fraser played in 28 games as a freshman at Arkansas and made 13 starts. He hit .250 with a .339 on-base percentage in 52 at-bats. He finished with three extra-base hits, one home run, 12 RBI, and two stolen bases. He drew six walks and struckout 12 times. He made two errors in the field, finishing with a .950 fielding percentage.
He is from Huntington Beach, California, and will have three seasons of eligibility with the Seminoles. He was ranked as the No. 144 overall player and No. 37 shortstop in the 2024 recruiting class by Perfect Game. He entered the portal on June 20, shortly after Arkansas’ season ended in the College World Series.
Fraser is the ninth transfer FSU has landed and the second position player this offseason, joining infielder Eli Putnam. They have also added left-handed pitchers Trey Beard and Kevin Mebil, right-handed pitchers Charlie Christensen, Cole Stokes, Bryson Moore, Gabe Nard, and Cade O’Leary.
