If you’re planning a summer getaway this year from the mid-Hudson region, New York Stewart International Airport in Newburgh offers seven nonstop flights within the U.S. and one international route.
PLAY Airlines recently announced it would suspend its U.S. flights by October 2025, so flights from Stewart to Iceland on PLAY’s website are only available until Sept. 1.

Though flights depart from Stewart every day, specific routes are not offered daily, so be sure to check your travel destination schedules well in advance when planning your trip.
Allegiant Air
Named the best low-cost airline in North America by Skytrax in 2025, Allegiant offers round-trip flights from Stewart to multiple destinations in Florida and South Carolina. As of June 26, one-way flights to Orlando Sanford International Airport are available for around $54. Here are the airports and locations Allegiant serves:
Breeze Airways
Breeze also featured in the 2025 Skytrax awards as the most improved airline in North America. As of June 26, one-way flights from Stewart to Charleston International Airport are available for around $89. The carrier provides direct flights to the following airports in Florida and South Carolina this summer. Seasonal Florida flights to Fort Myers and Vero Beach from Stewart will “return soon,” according to the Breeze website.
PLAY Airlines
Until Sept. 1, there is one direct international flight from Newburgh to Keflavík International Airport in Reykjavík, Iceland, operated by PLAY Airlines. The airport offers connections to several major cities in Europe. As of June 26, direct one-way flights from Newburgh to Reykjavík are available for around $113.
However, come September, Newburgh may lose this only direct international route as PLAY announced plans for a takeover bid by its two largest shareholders, who plan major changes.
