Spring has finally arrived, and the Granville Farmers Market has begun its 2025 season, running every Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon for 26 weeks — ending on Oct. 25. Again, this year we will be set up at Raccoon Valley Park at 1225 River Road next door to Granville Golf Land Driving Range.
All the usual seasonal produce, plants, baked goods and cottage food products will be available as you have experienced in years past — no surprises there — but keep your eyes peeled for a number of new vendors that have been added this year with more diversity among the items offered. All vendors adhere to the State of Ohio and Licking County Health Department mandates to ensure safe and healthy purchases, plus everything offered will be personally grown or made.
Returning this year will be a weekly email newsletter which will be sent out on Fridays informing patrons of special events and activities occurring at the market the next day. We expect to share updates from vendors announcing items they intend to bring along with news about planned music or entertainment that may be scheduled. During the season, we will share interesting background about our vendors and their unique stories. We think it’s important and helpful for you to know more about the growers and makers who contribute so much to the quality and appeal of our market.
As always, a prominent feature of the Granville Farmers Market is the presence of two Granville Area Chamber of Commerce tents at the far end of the Market near the playground. Each week a selection of chamber members will be promoting their businesses from displays under these two green tents. Be sure to stop by and meet them personally, and remember to patronize these dedicated Granville Chamber businesses whenever possible.
This is the 32nd year of the Granville Farmers Market and we’re looking forward to an exciting season! Betsy Roberts and I continue to serve as co-managers of the market this year. Feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions. We look forward to seeing you regularly!
