South Florida Soul Rodeo 2025: Black cowboy culture and live R&B in West Palm Beach

The first South Florida Soul Rodeo kicks off Mother’s Day Weekend at the South Florida Fairgrounds, blending Black cowboy culture, live music, and professional rodeo competitions. The event runs Saturday, May 10, from 5 to 10 p.m., and Sunday, May 11, from 3 to 7 p.m., at 9067 Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach.

Hosted by T. Dogg’s Bigg Dreams Charity, the two-day experience highlights the legacy of Black cowboys and cowgirls, offering family-friendly entertainment rooted in Southern tradition and community pride. T. Dogg’s Bigg Dreams Charity is a nonprofit focused on education, mentorship, and community uplift through cultural events.

“This event is more than a rodeo — it’s a movement,” said founder Travis Gammage. “We’re honoring the history, grit, and pride of Black and minority cowboys. It’s a celebration for all.”

H-town performing live at South Florida Soul Rodeo 2025

The event features performances from R&B legends H-Town, Miami’s Grind Mode, and rising Southern soul artist Mike Clark Jr. On the rodeo side, 19 professional bull riders will compete, including Ocala native Jeremiah Rhem. Events include bull riding, barrel racing, ranch bronc riding, team roping, steer wrestling, and junior barrel racing
