As we all know, one of the greatest attributes of the membership of the Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 is your generosity. Our members never cease to amaze me when asked to provide for those in need for so many of our community programs, throughout the year. This past week was no exception!

From members completely filling the huge Veterans donation box with warm weather needs, hygiene and personal need products, to so many buying $1.00 raffle tickets, on Saturday night for the Pendleton “Military Edition” Whisky bottle, or donating $50.00 for a bottle, even individual private donations in honor of a Veteran family member, all to the tune of $520.00 towards our Elks Lodge 343 Veterans fund.

Some of the warm weather gear, and hygiene “bagged” up products will be added to the Veterans Camo backpacks which we will purchase with our recently awarded $1,000.00 ENVSC Freedom Grant. With the rest of the items being delivered to the Yale VA Clinic and also to the Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township. Our Veterans appreciate your kindness more than you’ll ever know.

Thank you and God Bless you!
Fraternally Yours,
Scott
