For those of you who have not been paying attention to what has been going on in this country, you should be. For those of you who have been paying attention, you have to be wondering, Are We Nuts? What is happening now in this country is nothing short of frightening.
One of the most sacred rights of Americans is being attacked, and we have to be nuts to put up with it. If you haven’t already heard (you’d have to be living in a cave not to have heard), the President of the United States has been banned from Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and YouTube. This was done by Big Tech supposedly because of what happened in the capital on January 6th. According to these social media sites, the president instigated the rioting. However, if you go back and watch his speech beforehand, he mentioned that the protests needed to be peaceful and patriotic. Yet, Congress is trying to impeach him once again even though he will be leaving office in less than a week.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t condone what happened in the capital any more than the next person. Those that rioted should be arrested, tried, convicted, and sent to prison. We should never tolerate rioting. However, liberal hypocrisy is showing through since they called the rioting and burning of cities a while back peaceful protesting. Is it only rioting when conservatives do it, and peaceful protesting when liberals do it? Yet, they want to convince all of you that what happened in the capital is much worse. Blaming the President of the United States for the actions of a few is just plain nuts. Trying to remove a president who is leaving office shortly, either by the 25th amendment (which by the way failed because Vice President Pence refused to sign on) or by impeachment is not only ridiculous, but has also got to have people asking Are We Nuts?
Think about it, if Big Tech can do this to the president, what do you think they can do to little ole you? Let me enlighten you. Parler is it competitive site to Twitter. Although the site is made up mostly of conservatives, anyone can join. No one is censored for their beliefs, on either side. Big tech decided they now have the power to crush the opposition’s voice. Both Google and Apple removed the Parler app from their app stores. Then Amazon, who was the web host for Parler, closed down the web site. Why? Because Parler refused to squash the conservatives point of view and opinions. It had nothing to do with what went on in Washington DC and everything to do with closing down a site whose politics they disagree with are being expressed. Never mind that Parler had a contract with them.
It is unbelievable that this could happen in the United States of America. Freedom of speech has always been one of our most precious God-given rights. We have known for some time that the liberal media does not report the truth. They only report what they want their viewers to see and believe. Now, we are watching the disintegration of Americans’ freedom of speech.
If you think this will stop here, you are only kidding yourself. The liberal point of view is the only one that they are going to allow. Watch for them to go after other conservative sites on the internet. They have already stated that Fox News should be done away with. They haven’t seem to notice that 40% of Fox News viewers have left due to their turn to the liberal side.
I’m a firm believer in both sides being able to state their opinions. I am also a firm believer in not blaming one man for the rioting of many simply because he called for a protest of a stolen election. Yes, I said it, a stolen election. There is plenty of verification out there. However, CNN, MSNBC, Twitter, Facebook and other liberal organizations are not about to show any of it to you.
Wake up, America! This is only the beginning. It is an all-out attempt to silence the conservative voice in America. This is exactly how communism begins. By silencing the opposition, one side becomes all powerful and will dictate not only what you can say, but what you can think and do. This should not only scare the right, but the left is well. How long, before they go after you as well?
Before the election, liberals insisted that they would pack the Supreme Court, take away another right of Americans, that of owning guns, and eliminate the electoral college. Will you allow this to happen? Are we nuts? Our civil liberties will be dwindled one by one. Am I suggesting rioting? Absolutely not! I am suggesting that America wake up and start voting in politicians that care about Americans more than they care about power. For if we don’t, we are in for a very rough ride. And we will certainly answer the question, Are We Nuts? Remember the words of another Blue Water Healthy Living contributor, Dave King. You have the right to not remain silent. Will you keep that right, or will you let the extreme liberals in the Democratic party take it away from you?
