Final: CMH 35, Tosa East 0

A year after getting shut out by Tosa East, it’s Catholic Memorial pitching the dominant performance this time around. Touchdowns from Devon Williams Jr. and Camden Shumpert sparked a running clock with about seven minutes to play in this one. CMH remains unbeaten since the Week 1 defeat to Franklin at home.

Final: Homestead 28 Slinger 14

Slinger capitalized on the onside recovery by scoring on a 13-yard Jeffrey Ford TD run to pull within 21-14 after a successful two-point try. The Owls kicked it deep, and Homestead drove the length of the field for a put away score. Blake Wichman plunged in from a yard out to move the lead back to two scores with 2:58 left. A Homestead strip sack and fumble recovery iced it for the Highlanders, who remain undefeated at 8-0 and have clinched a North Shore Conference title share. Slinger falls to 6-2.

End 3Q: CMH 28, Tosa East 0

Devon Williams Jr.’s 34-yard touchdown run that looked like a tough run in Madden NFL 26 with the spin move while shaking off a would-be tackler has the Crusaders on the cusp of a running clock in the final quarter.

End 3: Homestead 21 Slinger 6

The Owls kept a long third quarter drive alive with two fourth down conversions that led to a 14-yard touchdown pass from Jeffrey Ford to Kobe Hendricks. The PAT was wide right. Slinger tried a surprise onside kick and recovered it, taking over at midfield. The Owls are back in the Homestead red zone as we start Q4, looking to pull within a touchdown.

Halftime: CMH 21, Tosa East 0

It’s a three-touchdown lead for the Crusaders after the first half of play tonight. Zy’aire Smith opened the scoring and then touchdowns by Will Schmitzer and Ne’Vareon Flowers have pushed this one into the danger zone for the Red Raiders with a half to go. The home side has yet to cross midfield offensively, while the Crusaders have touchdowns on three of its first five possessions tonight.

Halftime: Homestead 21, Slinger 0

Both teams struggled to sustain drives as the officiating crew also were also calling holding a bit tighter in the second quarter. Slinger in particular looks out of sync in the passing game as Homestead rushers pin their ears back with the lead.Homestead is honoring the 10th anniversary of the 2015 state championship team here tonight, and several members of that squad are among a packed crowd. The 2025 Highlanders are putting together a dominant display over the reigning D2 state championship team here tonight.

End 1Q: Catholic Memorial 7, Tosa East 0

Dalton Steinke’s 16-yard touchdown toss to Zy’aire Smith on the game’s opening drive is the difference through the first 12 minutes of action tonight.

End 1: Homestead 21 Slinger 0

It is all Highlanders after 1 in this battle of North Shore leaders. Lee Zortman took in a 5-yard QB keeper for the opening score. On the ensuing kickoff, a fumble recovered by Homestead gave them possession at the Slinger 24. Two plays later, Connor Pangallo took in a 4-yard score. After a short punt gave Homestead possession at midfield, Pangallo scored on his second consecutive carry with a 50-yard scamper. Slinger is driving as we start Q2.
