Milwaukee police investigating death of 9-day-old baby

Police are investigating the death of a 9-day-old baby boy on Milwaukee’s north side.

An autopsy found the baby’s preliminary manner of death to be undetermined, according to records from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of West Port Avenue around 8:40 a.m. Sept. 17, according to police.

First responders attempted life saving measures, but the baby died, according to Milwaukee police.

Police say the cause and circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation. According to police, no foul play is suspected at this time.
