The Milwaukee Brewers will officially play in the Little League Classic in 2026, traveling to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for an August game in front of the teams in the annual Little League World Series.
They’ll play the Atlanta Braves, with a 6:10 p.m. CT start time Sunday, Aug. 23.
The Brewers have never appeared in any special neutral-site game produced by MLB, such as the Field of Dreams Game in Iowa or this season’s contest between the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The annual event, which began in 2017, coincides with the Little League World Series and will air on ESPN. Members of both teams will attend Little League World Series games earlier in the day, and the young players and their families will get an invitation into Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field for the contest between the Braves and Brewers.
Yes, it’s a regulation-size MLB playing field, but it seats less than 2,500 fans, making the invitation exclusive to those involved with the LLWS.
The Little League World Series will run another week thereafter, through Aug. 30. The Brewers are scheduled for an off day Aug. 24 and open a series in New York against the Mets on Aug. 25.
The game is part of Milwaukee’s home baseball schedule, meaning Milwaukee will play only 80 games at American Family Field in 2026. The game was removed as an option from season-ticket packages.
It’ll be Milwaukee’s first appearance on “Sunday Night Baseball” since 2022, a 1-0 win over Philadelphia remembered for a confrontation between the Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber and home-plate umpire Ángel Hernandez.
