While parts of Texas see their first triple-digit temperatures of the year amid an ongoing heatwave, we can rely on Starbucks to remind us of autumn’s approach.
The coffee chain has announced the launch date of its 2025 fall menu, which includes the iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte. Here’s what to know.
When does Starbucks start selling pumpkin spice?
Starbucks revealed its Pumpkin Spice Latte will return to stores Tuesday, August 26, the company announced last week.

This year’s Starbucks seasonal menu will feature beloved classics as well as new flavors.
The Pumpkin Spice Latte is returning in all its forms (Hot, Iced and Frappuccino) and so is fan-favorite Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte.
Starbucks is also introducing two new menu items this fall: the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado and Italian Sausage Egg Bites.
“Our Cortado combines three ristretto shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso to give a smoother, sweeter, and richer espresso profile, with perfectly steamed whole milk for a velvety texture and balanced flavor,” the company’s site says.
Ristretto shots are smaller but more concentrated than traditional espresso shots. The Cortado, served in a short 8-ounce cup, is currently available and can be customized with flavors, cold foams and toppings.
What’s in a Pumpkin Spice Latte?
Starbucks’ famous Pumpkin Spice Latte includes steamed 2% milk, pumpkin spice sauce, brewed espresso, whipped cream, vanilla syrup and pumpkin spice toppings. The 2% milk can be substituted with another milk option, and customers may ask for no whipped cream and/or toppings on their latte. The pumpkin spice sauce uses cinnamon, clove and nutmeg.

Along with its fall menu launch date, Starbucks also announced some of its limited-time autumn flavors are available even sooner. Fall coffee and creamers, including the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Inspired Creamer (in dairy and non-dairy options) is in stores and online retailers now through December.
Fall’s ready-to-drink (RTD) drinks, such as the Iced Espresso Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Chilled Coffee Drink, will also return for a limited time in early August. Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Flavored Coffee, Fall Blend Coffee, Smoked Butterscotch Flavored Coffee and Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Concentrate will also become available.
New this year, Starbucks is also releasing the Maple Pecan Latte Inspired Non-Dairy Creamer to sweeten any made-at-home coffee drink.
