In a game that looks better than it did three months ago when it appeared on the schedule, two teams with winning records square off when the Carolina Panthers head to the Bay Area to take on the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers come in off a divisional win against the Arizona Cardinals that got them to 7-4 and just a game back of the NFC West lead, while the Panthers are coming off a win against Atlanta that put them at 6-5 and squarely in the playoff picture.
The 49ers are a big 7-point favorite as they look to keep pace in the NFC West.

Bookies.com: Bet the Panthers with the points vs 49ers
Bill Speros writes: “The 6-5 Carolina Panthers have emerged as a threat to end Tampa Bay’s reign in the NFC South. More impressive: Carolina’s 7-4 record ATS. The Niners got Brock Purdy back just in time to mount a playoff run. This number suits Carolina, as the Panthers have covered in 11 of 12 as underdogs in the NFC. That includes their 16-13 outright win as 13-point dogs at Green Bay three weeks ago.”

Sportsnaut: 49ers 31, Panthers 27
Matt Johnson writes: “A matchup between the San Francisco 49ers to close out Week 12 might not be the matchup viewers on Monday Night Football necessarily want, but there are some intriguing elements to it. Christian McCaffrey faces his former team and a defense that has allowed 149 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns per game in the last four weeks. As for Carolina, Bryce Young takes on an injury-decimated 49ers defense that has allowed 306 passing yards and 3.5 passing touchdowns per game with a 75.8 percent completion rate in the last four weeks. We just have a little more faith in CMC, Brock Purdy and Kyle Shanahan.”
