Texas A&M softball is off to a strong start for its 2027 recruiting class with a commitment from a top-100 player. In early August, right-handed pitcher Zoie Griffin from Tahlequah, OK, announced via social media that she will begin her collegiate career in Bryan–College Station.
The four-star recruit had a strong sophomore season, going 26–3 and boasting a 0.54 ERA with a staggering 336 strikeouts and a .089 opponent batting average (OBA). At the conclusion of the season, she earned a MaxPreps Underclassman All-America Softball Second Team selection and followed that up with a stellar travel ball season.
Griffin is a strikeout machine and will provide quality depth to a versatile pitching staff, and she can’t wait to get to Aggieland.
“Texas A&M feels like home. I love what they are doing in College Station and can’t wait to get to work.”
Coach Ford is entering year three, and she now fully has her stamp on the program. This will be a critical year for her team and the ability to hold on to and attract more top talent to Texas A&M.
