A Graham teen was killed in a highway crash about 7 miles south of Olney on Friday.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the wreck happened about 8:41 a.m. on State Highway 251.
A DPS media release said a 2012 Mack dump truck was traveling south when the driver drove onto the shoulder to make a wide left turn. A 2015 Ford Focus coming up behind it attempted to pass it but struck the truck as it made its turn.
A 17-year-old female passenger in the car was taken to Olney Hamilton Hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries, the DPS saids. The 17-year-old female driver, also from Graham, was taken to the same hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
The DPS did not release names of those in the car.
The truck driver, Paul Dake, 28, of Maplewood, Minnesota, was not injured.
