The London girls team made program history on Friday with a 2-1 win against Canyon Lake in the Class 4A Division II regional semifinals.
The victory pushed the District 29-4A champion Pirates (23-4) into the regional final for the first time, where they will face Wimberley.
The Texans topped another District 29-4A opponent, Rockport-Fulton, 9-0 in the other regional semifinal in Division II.
London’s Malia Banks netted the game-winner early in the second half as the Pirates made history with the win.
The London boys saw their season close in the regional semifinal for the third time in five seasons and the Calallen girls were also upended Friday by La Vernia.
