San Angelo broke the rainfall record on Monday that was set in 1914.
Here’s how the weather is looking for Thanksgiving week from the National Weather Service.
The NWS said the local office had 1.96 inches of rain on Monday, breaking the old record of 1 inch set in 1914, according to a Facebook post.
Matt Groh, NWS meteorologist, said the rest of the week into Thanksgiving should be calmer.
“We’re expecting quieter weather this week,” Groh said. “Temperatures will be cooler on Wednesday into Thanksgiving Day.”
Groh said there aren’t rain chances in the forcast this week until Friday.
“It’ll be dry through Friday,” he said. “From Friday night into the weekend, there’s low chances for showers and thunderstorms.”
