The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have completed their prerequisites and it’s nearing time for the graduate level course. Dallas, with a 4-5-1 record, is looking to finally establish a winning streak in 2025. If they can, they’ll actually be able to consider themselves more than spoilers as the second-half schedule reaches the gauntlet stage. To have any chance at a playoff spot, the Cowboys will have to finally defeat several top-tier teams, and it needs to begin with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
Fortunately, the Cowboys have avoided a major injury, as QB Dak Prescott has been a full participant the last two days after being limited on Wednesday with a hip injury. Prescott has indicated that he probably wouldn’t have appeared at all if it weren’t for working on a short week after their Monday night win in Las Vegas.
The Eagles are not able to boast this, as they had to rule out their top lineman, right tackle Lane Johnson. A foot injury will keep him off the field, and the club’s track record without him is not very good, giving Dallas a bit of extra hope.
