Aviation-related attractions will take place Sunday, Oct. 19, at the War Eagles Air Museum after the MountainStar Sports Group Amigo Airsho 2025, which was to take place this weekend in Fort Bliss, was canceled due to the federal government shutdown, event organizers said.
Tickets for this year’s canceled airshow will be honored at the 2026 Amigo Airsho. An email will also be sent to customers requesting refunds, organizers said.
The “Aviation Experience” will be from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the War Eagles Air Museum, 8012 Airport Road in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, just west of El Paso, the MountainStar Sports Group Amigo Airsho said in a news release. All 2025 Amigo Airsho ticket holders, sponsors, and volunteers are invited to attend the free event.
The event, hosted by the War Eagles Museum, will feature some of the displays, vendors and attractions that were to take part in the Amigo Airsho in appreciation of the longtime El Paso community event.
“This community has shown us nothing but support and encouragement through challenging circumstances,” Alan Russell, chairman of MSSG Amigo Airsho, said in a statement. “Even though we couldn’t host the full Airsho, we’re proud to partner with War Eagles Air Museum to give something back to our fans and families who make this event so special.”
The event will include meet-and-greets with several Airsho performers, including:
The “Aviation Experience” at War Eagles Air Museum will also have food vendors that were to be at the Airsho, static displays of helicopters and jets and the museum’s 40-aircraft collection.
