Will Poulter gave a shoutout to a local Somali restaurant on a recent podcast.
The British actor, known for his role in “We’re the Millers,” appeared on “Table Manners with Jessie & Lennie Ware” on July 8, where he mentioned his new friendship with the family owners of Hoyo’s Kitchen.
Located in both North Markets in downtown Columbus and Dublin, Hoyo’s Kitchen offers authentic Somali cuisine with menu items like the mango chicken bowl, spicy rice and chicken suqaar.
The flavors caught the attention of Poulter, who shared that the restaurant catered the final day on set for an upcoming Ohio-based film, “Union County.”
“I just wanted to eat their food at work,” Poulter said during the podcast.
Hoyo’s Kitchen first opened in North Market Downtown in 2019 but made its debut in 2014 at the Columbus Square Shopping Center.
