Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Shedeur Sanders will get his second starft when the San Francisco 49ers visit Nov. 30.
Sanders made his first NFL start in the Browns’ 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He was 11-of-20 for 209 yards with a touchdown and interceptions.
“Obviously, the No. 1 job of quarterback is to win, so excited to get that first win under his belt,” Stefanski said on a Nov. 24 Zoom call. “And then next thing is improvement, and that’s what young players do. Certainly young quarterbacks do. You get one game better and that’s just from working at it. So that’ll be our focus.”

Stefanski, speaking on a Zoom call a day after the win over the Raiders, said the most important thing for a quarterback to do is win. That was a key reason why he stuck with the fifth-round draft pick out of Colorado.
Dillon Gabriel, who had started the six games prior to the Raiders game, cleared concussion protocol, Stefanski said. Gabriel sustained the concussion in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, which led to Sanders making his debut to open the second half.
Gabriel, the third-round pick out of Oregon, was completing 59.1% of his 184 pass attempts for 937 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions. He had been sacked 18 times.
Stefanski would not say anything about the starting quarterback position beyond the game against the NFC West-leading 49ers.
