Ohio State football lands commitment from Cleveland Glenville linebacker Cincere Johnson

Cincere Johnson, a linebacker for Cleveland Glenville in the 2026 class, has committed to Ohio State. He shared his announcement June 19 on Instagram.

The four-star prospect, as rated by the 247Sports composite rankings, picked the Buckeyes over Alabama and Penn State, among others.

He is the No. 2 player in his class from the state of Ohio behind USC commit Elbert Hill of Archbishop Hoban. Johnson is considered the No. 71 prospect nationally.

According to Hudl, Johnson is 6-3. He was named First-Team All-Ohio Defense, had 205 tackles, 41 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two pass breakups last year.

His sophomore year, he helped the Tarblooders win a second straight state championship in Division IV. He totaled 121 tackles, including 24 for loss and seven sacks, with three forced fumbles.

The Buckeyes 2026 class includes 16 commitments. Johnson is the second linebacker, joining Olentangy’s C.J. Sanna.
