It’s the regional semifinal round of the Ohio high school football postseason, and eight Akron-area teams will be in action.
This week’s schedule is highlighted by games between No. 5 Hudson (10-2) and No. 1 Hoban (9-1) in Division II, Region 5, and No. 6 East (10-2) and No. 2 CVCA (10-0) in Division III, Region 9.
No. 2 Walsh Jesuit (8-1) will play No. 3 Fitch (9-1) in another Division II, Region 5 game, undefeated Highland (11-0) and Wadsworth (11-0) will play in separate Division II, Region 6 regional semifinals, and No. 3 Mogadore (10-1) will take on No. 7 East Canton (10-2) in Division VII, Region 25.

2025 OHSAA football state championship games in Canton in December
Ohio high school football’s 10-game regular season leads up to the Ohio High School Athletic Association state playoffs at the end of October and into November — and ultimately, the OHSAA state championship games. The state finals are Dec. 4-6 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton — the fifth straight year all of the title games are being played there.
