Of Michigan, Jeremiah Smith says 'Nothing stands out to me, personally'

Though the Buckeyes lost to Michigan in 2024, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is unafraid to speak candidly about his impressions of the team up north.

Appearing on the “Downs 2 Business” podcast with Ohio State safety Caleb Downs and NFL wide receiver Josh Downs, Smith shared his honest thoughts about the 2025 Michigan team.

“I mean, they fly to the ball, everybody making plays out there,” Smith said, “but nothing, you know, really stands out to me, personally.”

Smith told the Downs brothers he began hating Michigan when he was recruited by the Buckeyes as a junior in high school.

Caleb Downs had a slightly more positive assessment of the Wolverines on offense.

“They got a good quarterback this year, so that’ll be a challenge,” Downs said. “He has the ability to run and throw, so that’s a challenge in itself. And they got a good scheme.”
