It’s that time of year again.
Yes, it’s Thanksgiving. But it’s also rivalry week, when Ohio State University takes on that other team from further north. You know the one I’m talking about.
The removing of the letter “M” from signs on campus and social media posts is underway, part of a tradition that appears to have started in 2011.
Two years later, then-Ohio Gov. John Kasich declared the day of “The Game,” as “Scarlet Letter Saturday,” with the goal of avoiding using the 13th letter of the alphabet.
In the truest form of the tradition, scarlet (or any shade of red, really) tape is used to cross off the offending letter.
