LANCASTER – The Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, has been released, according to Fairfield County Auditor Carri L. Brown.
The purpose of the report, which has previously earned an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Government Finance Officers Association, is to provide citizens with summarized financial data in a user-friendly format. It is a report which helps to increase awareness and knowledge of County operations.

The financial information within the Popular Annual Financial Report has been taken from the 2024 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for Fairfield County. While the Popular Annual Financial Report is relatively brief, the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report consists of more than 300 pages of detailed financial statements, notes, schedules, and statistical tables.
The cover of the Popular Annual Financial Report has historically featured a park of the Fairfield County ParksDistrict.
Brown said in a news release, “Several parks were considered for the cover due to the abundance of scenic and historically significant parks throughout our county. Ultimately, Lockville Canal Park was selected for its unique blend of natural beauty and historical importance. As part of the original Ohio Canal system, the park features remnants of three canal locks, offering visitors a glimpse into the region’s rich transportation history and heritage.”
