Now in its eighth year, the Everyday Kindness Heroes program is accepting nominations for its 2025 kindness class.

Nominate a hero via an online form at Dispatch.com through Aug. 3.

At the end of the year, the nominated members of the community will be recognized in person and in print for their kindness and service to central Ohio.

This will include five finalists and five semifinalists from among the public’s nominations.

They will be featured in a December issue of The Dispatch and Columbus Monthly magazine in a special feature package.

Honorees also will be celebrated at an event at the end of the year, when an overall hero will be announced.

Additional heroes for 2025

Since The Dispatch hired a human kindness reporter through a partnership with the Center for HumanKindness at The Columbus Foundation to grow the coverage of good news in the community, the program has expanded.

Now, five additional heroes will be chosen from among those featured in the kindness coverage over the course of the entire year.

The presenting sponsor for Everyday Kindness Heroes is the Center for HumanKindness at The Columbus Foundation. Other sponsors are AEP and the United Way of Central Ohio.
