If you’ve been a longtime fan of “Dancing with the Stars,” get ready to see the hit show brought live to the stage in Akron early next year.
“Dancing with the Stars: Live!” is touring across America for 82 performances, the first being Thursday, Jan. 22 at the Akron Civic Theatre. The event is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
The show will feature routines from Season 34, which recently crowned Robert Irwin as the winner. Fresh performances have also been created for the stage, featuring professional dancers who have appeared on the show including Brandon Armstrong, Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Daniella Karagach.
Andy Richter, Danielle Fishel and Elaine Hendrix have been revealed as special guest hosts for the tour. Alix Earle, Dylan Efron, Irwin and Jordan Chiles will be the special guest stars while Witney Carson, who formed Season 34’s winning team with Irwin, will be the special guest professional.
Fishel will serve as the guest host for the first Akron Civic Theatre performance. Hendrix will guest host the second show in May.

Second ‘Dancing with the Stars Live!’ show stop added
Due to high demand, Live Nation announced Nov. 26 that a second show was added for May 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Civic. Elaine Hendrix will serve as the guest host for that show. Tickets go on sale to the general public Dec. 5 with presales starting Dec. 3.
