The Cleveland Browns (3-9) are set to host the Tennessee Titans (1-11).
There are a few storylines to follow in this game. The first storyline to follow is the battle of the rookie quarterbacks. Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward have spent a ton of time training together and are good friends. They will go head-to-head in this game for the first time as professionals.
Perhaps the bigger storyline to follow, however, is the battle for NFL Draft positioning. Currently, the Titans once again hold the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Browns hold the fifth pick. A win against the Titans could drop the Browns as far as ninth in the draft order, while a loss will keep them in the running for a top-five pick and a chance at a quarterback like Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza or Oregon’s Dante Moore.

Shedeur Sanders shines in first half as Browns lead 17-14
The Browns, led by a strong half from Shedeur Sanders, lead the Titans 17-14 at the break. On the day thus far, Sanders is 9-of-14 passing for 180 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers. He even leads the Browns in rushing with 22 yards on two scrambles. Can he keep the pace in the second half?
Browns take the lead as Shedeur Sanders connects with Jerry Jeudy on long catch-and-run
The Browns have taken a 17-14 lead over the Titans as Shedeur Sanders found wide receiver Jerry Jeudy flying over the middle of the field. Jeudy then did the rest himself, chunking out yards after the catch on his way to the endzone. All-in-all, it was a 60-yard touchdown strike from Sanders to Jeudy.
Shedeur Sanders finds TE David Njoku for 6
The Browns have cut the Titans’ lead to 4 after quarterback Shedeur Sanders capped off a touchdown drive with a goalline throw to tight end David Njoku in the back of the endzone. The Titans now lead just 14-10 early in the second quarter.
Browns RB Quinshon Judkins sparks offense with a massive gain on a screen play
Taking a screen play all the way down inside the Titans’ five-yard line, running back Quinshon Judkins was one step from taking it all the way to the house. Even after a review along the boundary, the call on the field stood as called. It’s a 58-yard gain for Judkins.
Titans bounce back with massive run for 6
After the Browns struck back with three points of their own, Titans running back broke a massive run against the Jim Schwartz defense for a 65 yard touchdown. The Titans are now up 14-3.
Browns LB Devin Bush comes up with massive interception
As the Browns were looking like they were going to give up more points, linebacker Devin Bush came away with a huge takeaway. Intercepting Cam Ward, Bush returned the ball into Titans’ territory for 34 yards. It led to three points for the Browns’ offense. The game is now 7-3.
Titans jump out to an early 7-0 lead
Titans quarterback Cam Ward had a perfect opening drive, leading them down the field for a 7-0 lead over the Browns. Ward found fellow rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor for a touchdown from 14 yards out. The Browns answered with a three-and-out on their first possession of the game.

As the Browns get set to take on the Titans, it’s said that the father of starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Deion, is in the building.
