Bengals' Zac Taylor makes call on Burrow, Higgins and Hendrickson

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor didn’t waste any time confirming the expected status of his star players for Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

There, Taylor confirmed that defensive end Trey Hendrickson and wide receiver Tee Higgins won’t play against the Ravens.

As expected, Taylor also confirmed that Joe Burrow should be good to go.

On Burrow, Taylor and the Bengals paid the price for not activating him over the weekend for the loss to the New England Patriots. But the team wanted to play it safe, rather than subjecting his body to two games in just five days.

Barring anything unexpected with the injury, the Bengals should activate Burrow in the coming days and start him on Thursday night.

As for Hendrickson, he’s battling an injury that might require surgery after the season. Higgins needed a cart to leave the field after suffering a concussion on Sunday during the loss to the Patriots, completely ending any chance of his suiting up a few days later on primetime.
