Bengals defensive back Cam Taylor-Britt injures foot vs Steelers in NFL Week 11, ruled out

Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Cam Taylor-Britt suffered a left foot injury during the second quarter of the team’s NFL Week 11 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.

Taylor-Britt was helped to the sideline after defending a pass by Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to receiver Calvin Austin III. Taylor-Britt was called for defensive pass interference on the play. Taylor-Britt went to the locker room a short time later.

Early in the third quarter, the Bengals ruled out Taylor-Britt’s return.

Taylor-Britt, in his fourth season with the Bengals, was among inactive players for the team’s NFL Week 7 win against Pittsburgh at Paycor Stadium on Thursday Night Football. Taylor-Britt was inactive due to coaches’ decision, per The Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway.

Josh “Fig” Newton replaced Taylor-Britt at starting cornerback.

ESPN identified Taylor-Britt as one of the top 25 players who could be moved in advance of the NFL trade deadline.

Taylor-Britt was limited with a hamstring injury ahead of the team’s Week 4 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Taylor-Britt played in all 17 games during the 2024 season for the Bengals, making 17 starts. The second-round pick from Nebraska in the 2022 NFL draft drew a pass-interference penalty during the first quarter of the Bengals’ NFL Week 15 win against Tennessee. Fox play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler and color analyst Daryl Johnston agreed it was a bad call by officials.

Taylor-Britt was benched during the Bengals’ Week 11 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
