The money raised goes to the churches’ mission trip for a yearly weeklong trip to serve in construction projects. Cost for meal is donation only. Breakfast is held the third Saturday of every month.

SEBRING COUNCIL − Sebring Village Council plans a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at Village Hall. Among items on the agenda is an ordinance to authorize the village manager to enter into a contract with TAC Computer to provide training for the Police Department.
BELOIT COUNCIL – Beloit Village Council’s Board of Public Affairs and Village Council have rescheduled their regular meetings because Oct. 13 is Columbus Day, a federal holiday. The Board of Public Affairs will meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 14. City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 20. Both meetings will be at Village Hall.
ALLIANCE CIVIL SERVICE – City of Alliance Civil Service Commission will meet at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the City Administration Building, 504 E. Main St. in the second-floor conference room. Purpose of the meeting is to grade and certify the sergeant’s exam and entry-level exam for Alliance Police Department and Alliance Fire Department.
HAUNTED HISTORY – Main Street Alliance presents a Haunted Downtown History Tour at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24. The tour will step off from Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce, 210 E. Main St. $5 donation in cash or Venmo. Spaces are limited, message the Main Street Alliance Facebook group to reserve a spot.
PANCAKE JAMBOREE – Alliance Kiwanis Club’s 67th Pancake Jamboree will be 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at Alliance High School, 400 Glamorgan St. All-you-can-eat pancakes for $7.50, which includes syrup, sausage and coffee or milk. Children under 5 eat free. The event is a large fundraiser that assists Carnation City Pantry, Alliance YMCA, Alliance YWCA, Carnation City Players, Alliance Parks & Recreation, Wreaths Across America, Power of the Pen, education programs in Alliance City Schools and Marlington Local Schools, Hot Stove baseball, scholarships and the annual Academic Challenge competition in Alliance.
WEST BRANCH − West Branch Local Schools Board of Education plans a special meeting at 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at the West Branch High School Media Room, 14277 S. Main St. in Beloit. According to a news release, the purpose of the meeting is to approve the district’s financial forecast and the hiring of a public official.
ALLIANCE STREETS − Alliance City Council’s Streets and Alleys Committee plans a public meeting at 8 a.m. Oct. 17 at the City Administration Building, 504 E. Main St., in the second-floor conference room. Purpose of the meeting is to discuss results of 2025 road inspections, the 2026 street paving schedule and street sign replacement.
