Rochester’s largest parade, the Lilac Festival Parade, will occur on May 10 at 10:30 a.m. It will include marching bands, local organizations, and colorful floats.
Karen Iglesia, founder of Primetime 585, is the Grand Marshal for the parade.
The parade will start at the intersection of South Avenue and Science Parkway and proceed north on South Avenue to Highland Avenue.
The parade will then proceed east on Highland Avenue to S. Goodman Street, where it will end.
Rochester Lilac Festival parade traffic
The 2025 Rochester Lilac Festival Parade will bring road closures and traffic changes on Saturday, May 10. Staging begins at 8 a.m. along Science Parkway and nearby side streets between Science Parkway and Elmwood Avenue.
Starting at 9:15 a.m., South Avenue and surrounding streets — including Booth, Warren, Rosemont, and Fort Terrace — will close between Elmwood Avenue and E. Henrietta Road. Elmwood Avenue will also be closed between S. Clinton Avenue and Mt. Hope Avenue, with access limited to residents and emergency vehicles.
The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. at South Avenue and Science Parkway, heading north on South Avenue, then east on Highland Avenue to S. Goodman Street for disbanding. No parking will be allowed along the parade route.
Streets will reopen once the final parade units have cleared the route.
