One man is dead and another was injured after a small, single-engine plane crashed onto Bridge View Drive near Maplewood Park in Rochester around 1:30 p.m. Aug. 1, according to Rochester police.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second occupant was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews from Rochester Police and Fire Departments, the Airport Fire Department, and AMR Ambulance responded to the crash.
Bridge View Drive remains closed as the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigate. No timeline has been given for when the road will reopen.
