The Nets come into this game after a 113-109 win at the Dallas Mavericks on Monday in which Brooklyn overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win their second game in a row for the first time following the All-Star Break. Keon Johnson led the way for the Nets with 24 points, three rebounds, and three assists while D’Angelo Russell had one of his best games in Brooklyn this season with 18 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds.

Advice and Prediction

The Nets appear to be feeling good about themselves after a two-game winning streak that has required them to play well in clutch games at the Washington Wizards and the Dallas Mavericks on their last multi-game road trip of the season. Brooklyn has not had much luck winning games since coming out of the All-Star Break, but it seems like they’re playing free with the season coming close to an end.

The Timberwolves have their eyes set on the playoffs, but in the meantime, they are trying to round themselves into form with Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle leading the way. Minnesota is coming off one of the best games of the NBA season with their double-overtime thrilling win over the Nuggets and if nothing else, they should be able to bring plenty of high-level plays to Barclays Center.

The Nets rank towards the bottom of the NBA in offensive rating while the Timberwolves are a top-10 unit in the category heading into this matchup. In terms of defensive rating, Brooklyn is firmly middle of the pack while Minnesota is one of the best defensive teams in the league. What will make this game interesting is that both the Nets and Timberwolves rank in the bottom half in terms of pace so scoring may come at a premium in this one.
