Last days of September to bring warm temps, clouds to Lower Hudson Valley. See forecast

As September comes to a close, Lower Hudson Valley residents are in for another warm week with partly cloudy skies throughout.

The National Weather Service says clouds are expected to linger in the skies Monday, Sept. 29, with high temperatures near 78 degrees. Overnight, more clouds are expected to roll in as temps drop to around 60 degrees.

Tuesday is looking mostly cloudy with the highest temperature this week at around 79 degrees. By Tuesday evening, some clouds will disperse and temperatures could drop to 51 degrees, with wind gusts as high as 21 mph making it feel even chillier.

Expect fall weather Wednesday, Oct. 1

The month of October starts Wednesday with near-perfect fall weather. Sunny skies are expected with high temperatures at a mild 66 degrees.

Overnight Wednesday, temperatures may be the coldest of the season so far at 46 degrees, starting the official cooling of temperatures for the autumn season.
