The New York Jets were defeated 27-14 by the New England Patriots in Week 11.
Head coach Aaron Glenn is making a quarterback change with his team sporting a 2-8 record. Tyrod Taylor will replace Justin Fields against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12.
The Jets are undergoing a lengthy roster rebuild. Despite the 2025 struggles, there have been positives. No bright spots have been more glaring than the play of rookie and sophomore offensive tackles Armand Membou and Olu Fashanu.
Pro Football Focus grades all offensive tackles and allows you to analyze the data from each respective draft class.
Looking at all offensive tackles selected in 2025, Membou is currently PFF’s highest-graded rookie tackle (75.3). He’s slightly ahead of Will Campbell (71.4), who was drafted three picks before Membou at No. 4 overall.
Analyzing tackles drafted in the 2024 class, Fashanu currently has the third-highest grade (66.5), trailing just Joe Alt (79.0) and Roger Rosengarten (67.8). It’s worth acknowledging Alt recently suffered a season-ending injury.
The Jets are sorting through their roster. They’ll certainly target a new starting quarterback in 2026, whether through the draft, free agency, or potential trade opportunities.
Whenever (and however) that quarterback arrives, he’ll have two ascending tackles protecting him in Fashanu and Membou.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 season.
