Where are the cheapest gas prices in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam?
In the Lower Hudson Valley, gas prices were seemingly clocking at below the state and national averages as of 9 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27.
According to GasBuddy, a platform that helps users compare gas prices in their area, the best Westchester gas prices were between $2.83 and $2.89 on Thanksgiving Day, mostly at stations in the Yonkers area.
In Rockland County, the range was similar, although slightly higher, with GasBuddy’s top 10 best gas prices clocking in at between $2.83 and $2.99, mostly in the West Haverstraw and Spring Valley areas.
For Putnam, gas prices slightly lower than last week. GasBuddy’s top 10 best gas prices for the area ranged between $2.87 and $2.99, with the cheapest gas spotted in Brewster.

How do state gas prices compare to last year?
The average fuel price in state rose about 6 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $3.00 on Oct. 27, 2025, and as high as $3.16 on Sep. 15, 2025.
A year ago, the average gas price in New York was 0% higher at $3.06 per gallon.
