5 takeaways from the New York Jets' 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos

The New York Jets remain winless following their trip out to London in Week 6 to face the Denver Broncos.

If England does not love the NFL after this game their feelings are valid.

In a 13-11 final, both teams played ugly football. The Jets (0-6) are still searching for a win under head coach Aaron Glenn… but even the Broncos (4-2) won’t be happy about this one either.

Here are Jets Wire’s five takeaways from the Jets’ loss to the Broncos:

Justin Fields was brutal

No doubt about it, quarterback Justin Fields did himself no favors in this one. The entire Jets offense was awful and a lot of it had to do with Fields. His offensive line was poor, but Fields held onto the ball far too long over and over again. He was sacked nine times.

Fields finished just 9-for-17 passing for 45 yards. He had 31 yards rushing as well.

This game feels like it would have been a win if Fields was pulled for Tyrod Taylor.

Heated exchange kicks off

The terrible day on offense led to one exchange that was not a good look. It did not appear to be overly heated, but at the end of the first half there was an animated conversation between wide receiver Garrett Wilson and head coach Aaron Glenn.

We’ll see how that unfolds going forward, but it’s not a good look.

Coaching staff was lost

Along with not putting in Taylor and the exchange with Wilson, there were numerous other head-scratching moments for Glenn and the Jets coaching staff. A timeout on fourth down just to punt? What the hell happened at the end of the first half?

Glenn is going to be questioned in a big way after this one.

Defense takes flight

Shockingly, we do have a positive. The Jets defense finally showed up and played a heck of a game… New York even had their first turnover of the season and scored points.

Naturally, the Jets offense ruined all that.

Outcome didn’t really matter

The Jets lost but even if they somehow pulled out that win? It would not have mattered one bit. The writing on the wall was already there with how disgraceful that showing was.
